Meet the Board

Vance Mattila, President

I have lived in Horicon for the majority of my life. While growing up here, I made many friends, played sports, graduated from Horicon High School and met my wife, Kristine. As an adult, I want to give back to the community that I grew up in. Being a board member in the Chamber of Commerce allows me to do just that. This position will give me the opportunity to work with other local businesses and groups in Horicon to make a positive difference in the community. Working at Hardware Hank, I am meeting many residents of Horicon as well as people that are just passing through. I look forward to serving you!

I've lived in Horicon for 29 years. We moved to the area from Oshkosh in 1991 when my husband, Jack, started his chiropractic practice in an office space by the Besthesda building. Although I've worked many years as a registered nurse, I also have helped Jack and our son, Steve, who also is a chiropractor, at their office which is currently located at 514 East Lake Street. We have raised our four children (Steve, Emily, Laura, and Mike) in Horicon. It has been a great place to raise a family! Between, school, church, the pool, an active library, sports, band and just enjoying the beautiful marsh area, there was always something to keep them busy. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, kayaking, fishing, exploring new places, cooking, reading, music, sewing, and other creative activities.

I have been the Superintendent of Schools at the School District of Horicon since July, 2016. It is an honor and privilege to serve the students and families of Horicon. I am proud to be a part of a very dedicated, caring and passionate staff who daily create opportunities for our students, both in the classroom and out. Helping students find and showcase their gifts is a focus that we strive for at Horicon. We believe in reaching and teaching the whole child so they grow and find their passion for learning. Serving on the Horicon Chamber of Commerce board and being active in the community is very important to me as I've been raised to believe that more hands make light work and it's my responsibility to support others in our community. I am proud to do so!

Brenda Bruyette

I am your local real estate agent, serving Dodge County for over 15 years. My office is located in Horicon on Hwy 33.

I received my Real Estate/Brokers License in July of 2002. In 2008 I bought my current office in Horicon, and totally renovate the building. Since that time, I have grown my business, adding 4 additional agents, Kristin Bartz, Courntey Bastian, Brooke Rudolf, and Mary Danner. We have mainted the Coldwell Banker "Presidents Elite", placing us in the top 2% nationwide, for 10 years.

Besides serving the Horicon Chamber of Commerce, I also serve as a board member for the Parish Council and Human Concerns at Sacred Heart and I am a member of the Mayville Chamber of Commerce.

I live in Mayville. My son and his wife Lisa along with Carly, Lexi, Colton, & Bo reside in Dubuque, IA. My daughter Courtney and her husband Bill and Burke reside just outside of Horicon.
