Program, September 20
The Rock River Archaeological Society will be hosting historian, Raymond Glazner, for War Between the States (1860-1865) on September 20th at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center on Highway 28 between Horicon and Mayville. The program will begin at 6:30 PM with refreshments to follow.
Ray Glazner is a teacher/author with 40 years of experience. It is his goal to allow the audience to see history brought alive with artifacts which allow hands-on learning. During the program Ray will talk about the equipment used by both north and south during this all-important phase of American history. The equipment includes personal as well as military.
The audience will be brought in as the program is presented as a monologue of a soldier who will explain his reasons for being in the war, his experiences and his equipment.
Doors will open at 6 PM both at the lower level where the program is given and the upper main-door of the Education Center adjacent to the parking lot. There is no cost to attend the program and the PUBLIC IS INVITED.
