BLUE ZONES PROJECT RECOGNITION CEREMONY FOR HOMETOWN PHARMACY
Local pharmacy to celebrate achieving Blue Zones Project Approved™ worksite status

 

 

What: Ribbon cutting ceremony being held to recognize Hometown Pharmacy as the newest Blue Zones Project Approved™ worksite

Public/Private: Public event preceding Rechek’s Food Pride Supermarket Sweep event.

Background: Commitment to patient care and health is priority number one at Hometown Pharmacy, as is employee well-being. Hometown Pharmacy has become the most recent site to receive Blue Zones Project Worksite Approval status. The pharmacy focused in on personalized nutrition and health coaching for employees, flexible work schedules and encouraged time to downshift with stretching and walking breaks. Hometown Pharmacy, in conjunction with Rechek’s Food Pride, also offered a cooking demonstration and healthy grocery store tours to employees and the public.

Blue Zones Project is a community-by-community well-being improvement initiative designed to support longer, better lives through permanent changes to environment, policy, and social networks. Blue Zones Project is brought to Dodge County through sponsorship by Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, in collaboration with Sharecare®, Inc. and Blue Zones, LLC. Dodge County is the first Blue Zones Project demonstration site in the state.
